Best “Golden Girls” Episode

tv

Premiering in September 1985, and running for 180 episodes through May 1992, NBC’s “The Golden Girls” became an unlikely hit with viewers, a critical darling, and it revived the careers of the series’ four lead actresses, all of whom were over the age of 50 when the series began. Not too shabby for a sitcom originally conceived as a joke about senior citizens. Although it wasn’t obvious at the time, the show also had incredible cross-generational appeal, particularly among women and gay men, who found kindred spirits in the four bold main characters, and inspiration in their unbreakable friendships. Thirty years after the final episode aired, “The Golden Girls” remains one of the most beloved sitcoms in television history. And now the Great Pop Culture Debate wants to decide: what is the best Golden Girls episode of all time?

Host Eric Rezsnyak and panelists Curtis Creekmore, Jake Pitochelli, Jonny Minogue, and Kevin Dillon grab some cheesecake and take to the lanai to debate the best episodes of the iconic 80s & 90s sitcom!
